I have been a long time fan and early adopter of Cappuccino, a framework similar to Apple’s Cocoa, but for developing web apps. It’s been utterly amazing from day one, and it only keeps getting better!

Today, at the Future of Web Apps conference in Miami, 280 North (the guys behind Cappuccino and 280Slides) released 280Atlas – a visual layout editor and development environment for Cappuccino and Objective-j. As a Cappuccino developer I knew some sort of layout editor (similar to Interface Builder) was in the works, but had no idea it would be this good. This is a game changing development for the , well… future of web apps! :)

Here is their intro video, demonstrating 280Atlas.

I only wish I could start using it right now!

Nice work 280North!

I would write more, but I am going to work on my Cappuccino app, freshly inspired by this exciting new tool!
